The works mainly included reconstruction of existing buildings, the oldest of which, an octagonal gas storage facility, was constructed in the 1860s. The Functionalist rustic limestone boiler plant was built in the 1930s (Block B). The eastern limestone boiler plant building (Block A), trestle, brick chimney and silicate extensions were built after the World War II.
Majority of the buildings and structures are architectural monuments.
In the course of the reconstruction works, the buildings were reconstructed into a multifunctional leisure and cultural centre, and office spaces.
